Tonja Bjermeland Fine Art.

Many have said that Tonja Bjermeland was born an artist. Intimate with many forms of expression and loving the act of art making, Tonja has grown through exploring each creative process she encounters. Beginning with drawing, on practically anything, Tonja’s affinity to art became quickly apparent. During her creative journey Tonja has developed her aesthetic through many art forms and mediums which serve as an inspirational invitation to her creative soul.

Tonja earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Emily Carr University and is currently pursuing Master's studies. She has always believed that “Art is Life” and looks forward to helping others through the process of creating. Her education and experience as a teacher of early childhood education confirmed within her the importance of play and expression in human development and the creative process. Through nurturing herself and others in embracing life’s creative processes, she wishes to promote healing, growth, and learning about one’s self because life should be experienced as a form of art.

Her soft yet vibrant expressive and textural style emanates a peaceful flow and expresses the natural spirit and atmosphere of the West Coast. In many ways the seemingly effortless communicative current of her art style reflects the organic expressions of creation itself, much like being in nature when a wild yet peaceful feeling is evoked. Tonja has curated and partaken in numerous art exhibitions, including shows such as Art World Expo, at Science World in Vancouver, BC, and The Tapp Gallery in Sidney, NSW, Australia. Selling and exhibiting her fine art works and paintings as a curated artist Tonja continues to participate on collaborations with artists and writers from all over the world.
